MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson will send a team of 5 stylists to do a show for Wella in Gothenburg on the 27th of April.

We will be showing our collection for SS10, doing on stage coloring, cutting, session styling, show our inspiration for this coming season and of course - the main thing - inspire other hairdressers to do what we do.

Mads Mikkelsen by Tony Lundström for GALA Men

MKK's Guest Style Director Tony Lundström did the grooming on danish heavy weight actor and perennial bad guy, Mads Mikkelsen in a portrait for new Gala Men, shot on a wintery day in Copenhagen. While shooting our conversation ranged from various subjects such as Russian art-house movies and directors such as Tarkovskij to various aspects of dog ownership and jack russel terriers energetic / sweet disposition, to prison tattoo's and other various sub-cultural phenomenon...

In other words a fast fun-filled day !

MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson - Training Course

On Saturday, the 13th of March, MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson held a requested course for 13 hairstylists from Finland - at the salon on Tegnérgatan 12. Teemu Koivisto, Jenny Karlsson and Tony Lundström showed their skills in coloring, cutting and styling during a demonstration in the morning (few of the models below) and then held a work shop in the afternoon to hand out their best tips and ideas. A very creative and appreciated day!
