Fashion Week for Ready-To-Wear AW'11 is halfway at the moment and has now reached Milan.

MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson was represented at New York Fashion Week, by André Cueto-Saavedra - and at London Fashion Week, by Emil Wall.

Fashion Week Stockholm - Ida Sjöstedt, Nakkna & Dagmar - Hair by MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson

Yesterday Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week started here in Stockholm with 32 designers showing their clothes for Autumn/Winter '11. MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson was represented at 3 of the shows on the opening day.

Our Salon Manager, Jenny Karlsson, was in charge of the hair at Ida Sjöstedt and Dagmar's show - and our Guest Style Director, Tony Lundström, took care of the hair at Nakkna.

Both with assistance by staff from our salon (Cecilia Posti, Emil Wall, Emma Lindblom, Gisella Jansson and Pernilla Neuman).

ELLE Style Awards 2011

Yesterday it was the Swedish ELLE Style Awards (ELLE-Galan) at Grand Hôtel here in Stockholm. Lots of fashion people and awards to people who have made an impression on the Swedish fashion scene. MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson was represented by Jörgen Syrén, Anna Härnberg, Emil Wall and Emma Lindblom doing hair on award presenters, hosts and other VIPs backstage.

Redken Tribe 2010 - London

On Monday 13th of September, Redken Tribe2010 took place at the Troxy in London and I made my way there to see the show.

Tribe has become Redkens yearly hairdressing party in London presenting some of Redkens best UK stylists and showing of talents in their "NYC Hair Award" in 3 different categories. This year it was a bit bigger celebration as well, since Redken celebrates 50 years.

MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson for Wella - in Gothenburg

MIKAs Koivisto/Karlsson will send a team of 5 stylists to do a show for Wella in Gothenburg on the 27th of April.

We will be showing our collection for SS10, doing on stage coloring, cutting, session styling, show our inspiration for this coming season and of course - the main thing - inspire other hairdressers to do what we do.

ELLE-Galan 2010

Yesterday it was the yearly Swedish ELLE-Awards (ELLE-Galan) at Grand Hôtel here in Stockholm. MIKAs KOIVISTO/KARLSSON sent a team of 5 stylists, Jenny Karlsson, Kalle Eklund, Anna Härnberg, Jörgen Syrén and Emil Wall to do hair on presenters and other VIPs. A nice day, a very nice evening and lots of fabulous hair.

Backstage - Karlstad, Sweden

On Tuesday, 20th of October, Mika's KOIVISTO/KARLSSON sent a team of hairstylist and color technicians to do a show in Karlstad, Sweden, representing our salon and Wella.

A two hour show filled with inspirational demonstrations of cut and color, session work styling, cutting and coloring techniques. With a total of 18 models it made a hectic, but successfull, evening.
